Hey, kids! A writing contest

My friend and colleague Suzanne Selfors is putting on a writing contest for kids, and I get to be one of the judges (along with Suzanne, George Shannon, and Kevin Emerson).

This is open to young writers in the greater Seattle/Bainbridge Island area. So if you are a student in grades 1-12, or if you know a kid who meets that description, please send us your stuff. The theme is Creatures, Monsters, and Beasts.

Entry forms are available at Eagle Harbor Books, or you can use the one below. The deadline to enter is Sept 13th. Finalists will be announced at the bookstore on Sunday, Sept 15 at 3pm. Everyone who enters will receive a Certificate of Achievement in Creative Writing. 8 finalists will each receive a $50 gift certificate to Eagle Harbor Books.
